David Chambers is a seasoned estate planning and tax attorney who brings a lot of energy, insight, and maturity to the unique practice area of estate planning. The majority of Mr. Chambers’ clientele are located the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill area, and a significant number of clients also come from numerous counties in eastern North Carolina.

Mr. Chambers has always maintained a desire to serve clients who are motivated to create and implement an estate plan that reflect the unique goals that the client has regarding their family, philanthropy, or tax considerations applying to their situation.

David Chambers has equipped his firm with the staff and tools for correct and leading-edge research, analysis, and technology required in this area of law.  His goal is to give you peace of mind and that goal has received affirmation throughout years of practice in this area of law.  Estate planning, at its best, should focus on multiple goals, including the goal of transferring the estate to loved ones or charity in a timely and cost efficient manner.

David R. Chambers is a member in good standing of the Academy of Special Needs Planners.  Special Needs Trusts for minor or adult children with special needs, including autism; physical injuries, including head trauma and diminished capacity; birth injuries, including mental retardation are situations requiring special needs planning.

Special Needs Trusts require specialized trust techniques in terms of drafting and implementation. Mr. Chambers has successfully handled numerous special needs cases.  Consultations in matters affecting trusts for Medicaid and for D4A Medicaid compliance are available in advance of implementation. 

For over a decade, David has worked closely with hundreds of military families in meeting their estate planning goals.  Clients include both active duty military and retired military families with estate planning goals beyond the ability of military base legal services. 

Estate planning goals for active duty and retired military members requires a special appreciation of concerns unique to those military families and their dependents.  David has provided estate planning and trust and estate administration planning for all representative branches of military service for over a decade.

David has been married to wife, Amanda, for over two decades, and they have two sons, David and Luke.
